As Snehadhara Foundation completes 12 incredible years today on 5th December 2024, I find myself reflecting on the fullness of this journey and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Across cultures, the number 12 holds deep symbolism—a cycle completed, a foundation for the future. It represents wholeness, from the 12 months of the year to the cycles of the moon and the flow of time in both nature and human life.
Our journey mirrors the moon’s cycle, which completes 12 phases in a year, marking time, tides, and transformation. Each year has been a phase—sometimes luminous, sometimes shadowed—but always part of a beautiful, evolving journey. Like the full moon, this 12th year feels like a moment of completeness, a time to carry the light of all our experiences forward, illuminating the path within and for others to walk alongside us.
At the same time, our story feels like that of a banyan tree—beginning as a single seed, growing steadily, and now spreading into a vast network of roots and branches. This tree has provided shelter, support, and strength to me and what I set out to do over the years.
Today, I feel a profound sense of gratitude. To every child, adult, and team member who has walked into Snehadhara’s spaces, you’ve taught us more about life, love, and courage than we could ever teach you. To my team—past and present—you are the heart of this mission. To our supporters, well-wishers, and friends, thank you for believing in this dream, standing by us, and giving it wings. You’ve all been co-travelers in this beautiful journey, enriching it with your presence and trust.
This is not just a celebration; it’s also an invitation. To keep walking this path together. To continue creating spaces where every voice is heard, where inclusion is a way of life, and where we can nurture a world where everyone belongs.
Here’s to the rivers we’ve yet to meet, the branches we’ve yet to grow, and the countless lives we’ve yet to touch. Together, we can make the next cycle even more meaningful, even more magical.
